Pottery Yard Zvířetice has become a favourite destination for ceramics lovers — a place where regular and first-time visitors meet all year round and love to return. It sits on the right bank of the Jizera in Zvířetice, part of Bakov nad Jizerou.

 Trustindex verifies that the original review source is Google. We visited with our family for the Pumpkin Festival. First impression OK — nicely arranged pumpkins, the smell of soup and sausages (which were excellent). The yard is mainly for families with CHILDREN, so the shops should have more space and better secured ceramics. Unfortunately our child knocked over a tiny mug; a rather rude lady appeared, didn’t return my greeting and said we had to pay CZK 245. We paid to avoid an argument. We also visited a playroom with a ball ‘sea’. After ~20 minutes a staff member with a terminal asked if we had already paid — entry is CZK 100/hour, written in tiny print on the door. Overall: better entrance ticketing and product security would help. The pumpkins were nice though.

 Trustindex verifies that the original review source is Google. Today’s Easter visit to Pottery Yard was a big disappointment compared with last year. The Indian food was terrible, too spicy for children and not worth CZK 179. The craft workshop — with no egg decorating and no photos — was disappointing too.
